Meet jON Buller

Jon Buller is the founder & director of Hear the Music Ministries. For the past 10 years, together with many partner organizations and leaders, Jon has been producing a regional arts and leadership conference called the Levite Summit. A Covenant Award winner and Juno Award nominee, over the last 25 years he has contributed an eclectic and growing catalogue of music to the artistic landscape of Canada while travelling extensively and hosting the popular community worship concerts called ‘Hear the Music Night’. With decades of experience as a Worship & Arts Pastor in local churches, Jon launched Worship Arts Canada in 2021 as an outlet for his lifelong passion to equip, affirm and care for musicians, artists, technicians, and creatives.

Uniquely Canadian

In 1999, we started by serving our local community in Winnipeg, MB as ‘Hear the Music Ministries’ (HTM). Since then, the scope and impact of HTM has grown to include Canada, but far beyond as well. HTM was founded at that time by award winning Christian recording artist Jon Buller. Together with a team of leaders and musicians, Buller launched a conference called the Levite Summit that has served artists, musicians, technicians and leaders in Canada since 2013. In today’s changing landscape, we can access endless resources but they are often not culturally relevant to our situation. At WAC we believe that there is an important place for resources created by and made for Canada. We also believe that Canada has a significant contribution to make to music, arts and leadership worldwide.

While every country has its’ own cultural uniqueness, the beauty of faith, leadership and art forms like music or dance is that they are languages unto themselves that cross borders and are not limited by geography. There are leadership principals and understandings that can be shared and applied no matter where you are in the world. You can find that here at Worship Arts Canada!

As you know, WAC exists in part by charging a subscription fee but also through the generosity of financial supporters who care about Music, Arts and Leadership. If you would like to contribute or become a partner with us, click the button below. WAC is an activity of Hear the Music Ministries, a registered charitable organization with CRA (867787137RR0001) and you will receive a separate tax receipt for your contribution!
